The World of Polo, Brought to Life in Jewelry
The sport of polo is steeped in antiquity & tradition. The first games were played well over 2000 years ago in Persia and Central Asia as a peacetime cavalry exercise. Today, the passion for the game of Polo is enjoyed & played across the globe.
Drawing on inspiration from polo, Peter Charles Jewelry builds on the passion, imagery, and sophistication of the sport, brought to life in jewelry for a high goal lifestyle.
The Ball & the Polo Mallet
The ancient Persian poem Guy-o Chawgân - The Ball and The Polo-Mallet - is an allegory in which the ball and the polo-stick are personified as types of Sufi mystical love and all the images are from the game of polo.
"In his silvery hands each youth was carrying a polo-stick made of pure gold and shining..."
Each creation for Peter Charles Jewelry hooks the movement & precision with refined elegance, incorporating the elements of polo - Mallets & Polo Balls - in fine metals & precious gemstones.
